How do you make your borders? is it a black background with the frames on top?

And how do you add shadows?

what program do you use? I have been using Paint.Net but i'm trying to incorporate Inkspace but working with different file types is confusing,

I would like to know your process,

The black borders are just the background with frames on top.

My shadows are just black circles underneath then I increase transparency and blur it till it looks good enough.

I use Illustrator to create my objects and use vectors as time savers

What about my process would you like to know?

cool i applied the border technique in my latest comic, thanks,

im gonna try to add shadows too,

i have illustrator but i haven't cracked open adobe in a while...

how long dose it take you to make one comic? it has been taking be one lazy day to get one out and i have been using Paint.Net, it seems easier but I wonder if using only vectors would increase the overall quality.

Overall time prob around 6-10 hrs spread over several days. But it can vary over any distance of time depending on if I use vectors or make it myself etc. I make any models when I need a certain pose or action but use vector when it is easier or a huge time saver as in backgrounds.
